Gosh, I needed to hear this. Thank you! Too much pressure on me and I start overeating, over-scrolling and over-worrying... I'll make sure to read your article over and over again, Agapi!

Beautiful list. The older one gets, the more important these become.

So many wonderful ways to cultivate peace! Thank you!!! Yes, and… a few thoughts on ways to upgrade a few key elements of this practice:

1. And most importantly, please forget the idea that peace, including your peace is something to protect. While it sounds good to our problem/solution brains, protection energy cuts us off up to 1/2 our brain’s resources, and the kind of brain activity most important for peace like connection and creativity. Connection with self and others are both very important, as you point out. Don’t let your brain trick you into thinking that protection is a path to peace, protection is a rejection of love.

2. Don’t simply accept what is happening, learn to embrace what the universe gives us. When we embrace we find how best to love. In loving more deeply, we find peace.

And, our paths towards peace begins with a pause. A chance to interrupt our patterns that are no longer serving as best for these current particular life situations. So YES! You’re invited to practice these thoughtful ways of cultivating peace, but please leave protection behind!

If it means starting over to learn or relearn these steps, these are good advice.
